How does the Civic's oil percentage meter calculate the oil?

My dad has a 2010 Honda Civic LX, and in the dash is a meter that calculates the quality of the oil based on a percentage (eg. 100% means fresh oil, 5% means it needs to be changed). Does the meter calculate the oil quality based on the mileage of the car, or just on a basis of time since the last oil change?

2003 Ford Focus bad EGR Valve?

This is pretty common problem with the 2.0L motor, this is definately a vacuum leak, check the PCV elbow below the throttle body (the rubber usually will split) causing a huge vacuum leak! As for the oil light I would suspect a faulty oil pressure switch, but also with the vacuum leak the idle could be dropping low enough to cause the switch to close! Repair the vacuum leak and retest. ADDED: There is no PCV code but, if it has a vacuum leak it will set a P0171 (system lean bank#1) Also the EGR valves rarely fail on the 2.0L the DPFE (differential pressure feedback egr) sensor is usually the problem!

My 1995 Honda Civic LX keeps overheating. PLEASE, PLEASE HELP!!?

So far I have changed the thermostat and have had the fan fixed because there was a delay in turning on. Also, brand spanking new battery, if that makes a difference. While driving on highway it doesn't really overheat too much. It's more while sitting in traffic that the temperature starts to go up. I'm not sure what else could be the problem and when I took it to the mechanic he couldn't figure it out either. There is no leak, when I open the radiator cap there is fluid in the radiator and there is plenty of fluid in the reservoir. I absolutely cannot afford a new car so fixing this issue is an absolute MUST. Please someone help me!!!

I plugged my Sidekick LX in to charge and the light that indicates it's charging turns on, then the screen acts as if it's about to turn on but then just shuts back off. It keeps doing this. What can I do to fix this?

1991 ford mustang wont start?

hi i have a 1991 ford mustang lx 2.3l when i first got it. it ran good just needed new plugs an wires so i replaced them an it never missed then one day it started miss fireing on cly 3 it would not burn gass on the plug. so we put two bran new coil packs on it hoping to fix it an now when cars is runing only the 4 plusg on the back coil pack will spark when u take them off. any one of the 4 plungs on the front coil pack wont spark at all. so it should be my dis as in the igintion control module an i replaced it with one from a junkyard an it tested good first try. my old one tested 5 times bad then tested ok the 6th time so the guy at autozone said my old one was bad. so i put the new dis on an it started up an sounded good but only ran for like 5 sic then it died an wont start??? i really need help if any one know something plz reply. thank you

TREK 8000 2001 o GT avalanche 3.0 disc MTBs?

GT Avalanche 3.0 XC Hardtail was a very entry level bike. Cost me �325. If you break something on it, it's probably cheap to replace if you replace with like. The bike is easily ood enough in the suplied spec to keep you interested and make you upgrade it. The frame has a lot of people saying good things. If I had the choice again I'd buy it again, but I would haggle those terrible pedals from the offset. the rest you can replace at your leisure. I'd have no issues recommending this bike to a friend.
