How does the Civic's oil percentage meter calculate the oil?

My dad has a 2010 Honda Civic LX, and in the dash is a meter that calculates the quality of the oil based on a percentage (eg. 100% means fresh oil, 5% means it needs to be changed). Does the meter calculate the oil quality based on the mileage of the car, or just on a basis of time since the last oil change?

2003 Ford Focus bad EGR Valve?

This is pretty common problem with the 2.0L motor, this is definately a vacuum leak, check the PCV elbow below the throttle body (the rubber usually will split) causing a huge vacuum leak! As for the oil light I would suspect a faulty oil pressure switch, but also with the vacuum leak the idle could be dropping low enough to cause the switch to close! Repair the vacuum leak and retest. ADDED: There is no PCV code but, if it has a vacuum leak it will set a P0171 (system lean bank#1) Also the EGR valves rarely fail on the 2.0L the DPFE (differential pressure feedback egr) sensor is usually the problem!

So far I have changed the thermostat and have had the fan fixed because there was a delay in turning on. Also, brand spanking new battery, if that makes a difference. While driving on highway it doesn't really overheat too much. It's more while sitting in traffic that the temperature starts to go up. I'm not sure what else could be the problem and when I took it to the mechanic he couldn't figure it out either. There is no leak, when I open the radiator cap there is fluid in the radiator and there is plenty of fluid in the reservoir. I absolutely cannot afford a new car so fixing this issue is an absolute MUST. Please someone help me!!!

1991 ford mustang wont start?

hi i have a 1991 ford mustang lx 2.3l when i first got it. it ran good just needed new plugs an wires so i replaced them an it never missed then one day it started miss fireing on cly 3 it would not burn gass on the plug. so we put two bran new coil packs on it hoping to fix it an now when cars is runing only the 4 plusg on the back coil pack will spark when u take them off. any one of the 4 plungs on the front coil pack wont spark at all. so it should be my dis as in the igintion control module an i replaced it with one from a junkyard an it tested good first try. my old one tested 5 times bad then tested ok the 6th time so the guy at autozone said my old one was bad. so i put the new dis on an it started up an sounded good but only ran for like 5 sic then it died an wont start??? i really need help if any one know something plz reply. thank you

TREK 8000 2001 o GT avalanche 3.0 disc MTBs?

GT Avalanche 3.0 XC Hardtail was a very entry level bike. Cost me �325. If you break something on it, it's probably cheap to replace if you replace with like. The bike is easily ood enough in the suplied spec to keep you interested and make you upgrade it. The frame has a lot of people saying good things. If I had the choice again I'd buy it again, but I would haggle those terrible pedals from the offset. the rest you can replace at your leisure. I'd have no issues recommending this bike to a friend.

Can a messed up car transmission cause the check engine to go on?

I have a 1998 honda accord lx and i was on the highway and my car just randomly felt like some stepped on the brake and then right after it felt like someone slammed on the gas. When that happened the check engine light came on. I took it to a transmission place( The car started stalling trying to shift gears) and they said the transmission is gone. Clicking/metal dragging sound when tires spinning?? 98 Honda accord LX 4cyl?

This sound is not all the time but I do hear it every day on and off. When I a driving it sounds like clicking or metal dragging--front and on both sides. When I break (stop) so does the noise. I've had my car checked and was told it was my axle and had it replaced and the sound is still there. What else could this be? No mechanic that I've taken it to seems to know what it is and also the sound is never there when I go. I don't want to end up stuck somewhere b/c of this. Car drives fine outside of the sound.

I am looking for a bluetooth kit that is compatible with a Honda Accord LX 2008 so that when someone calls, I can see the name of the person calling on my stereo and hear the caller through my speakers. I also want to be able to play the radio, but have the sound get interrupted when I get GPS turn by turn directions. White Smoke coming from the exhaust pipe during start up. Honda Civic LX 99?

White smoke coming from the exhaust pipe during start up and I smell something burning. Now I've had the head gasket, water pump and radiator replaced. The car also shakes a lot and I can hear a loud screeching sound when trying to start up. It doesn't seem like I'm losing any coolant either. Had the head gasket replaced 2 days ago and the guy told me he took the top part of the engine to be rebuilt and cleaned as well. Obviously something is still wrong, anyone can think of any other solutions? Thanks in advance!

I moved to this school in fifth grade. Now I'll be going into freshman year. During the summer of fifth and sixth grade I went to the school to hang out with my best friend at the time(A girl). On the way there as we passed the gas station, there was a group of the more jock-like guys, who I do not like because they were very rude and judged people A LOT. Yes, we did have jock-ish people at that time, more mild then, though. Story short- we got called losers, fatties, bitches, etc., but went on. They were there when my friend and I got to the park-school thing. They teased us, stole my water, and well, were assholes. I never wanted to see their faces, mainly his. To my surprise, he was in my 6th grade class. Well, I avoided him because of his douche-ish acts. During the year, I progressed into more of a girl.(Within 3 months) Meaning--not to be offensive-- I slimmed out and got 4 inches taller.I was really short, by the end of that I was 5' and 1 half inches. After that was over... I caught him staring at me. That went on for the rest of the school year. While we were at a week long camp(in May), he was in my group, one thing on my mind- oh joy... I told this kid who I joke around with a lot that I, jokingly, hated him, the guy who I'm asking the question about(who I'll nickname 'boy') was behind me talking to a guy. Boy then said, 'you don't hate me, right?'. Confused I said "no.. you're alright." that was odd. On the last day of school, Boy walked up to me blushing and was going to say something, but then walked away.(I know it's long, bare with me!) He has been in 4 of my classes(not including 6th grade) during the course of middle school, and has been my project partner once, and we barely talked to each other during that time, or during middle school at all. Boy still stared and sometimes blushed or smiled. I talked to my very good best friend, who is a gamer and guy, and he said he has only the slightest clue of a yes. My very few female friends say, maybe. I really do not like this guy! He is rude and keeps girlfriends for like 2 months or less. Boy also harshly dumps them 75% of the time. I really love rally racing and I am definitely interested in getting involved in my local rally center. As in, driving. Now, I've heard that it's a good idea to do "arrive and drive" for your first season where a car is ready for you, as is your team. I currently only have a 96 Ford Escort LX. Great looking car with aftermarket chrome rims, tinted windows and a new $2000 paint job. Perfect condition inside and out, original engine with some work done on both the engine and the tranny. The bad news? 130k Miles (mostly highway miles). The car itself is absoulutely gorgeous looking (as in, could not possibly look better for its age) and the guy said he'd take $6,700 for it. Is it worth it or am i walking into a money-sucking black hole? I'm worried about the miles and wonder if i can find a better deal somewhere.

I cant put a post on battle.net cause it wont let me. I know why though so thats not the problem. The problem is with my authenticator. I noticed today when i logged into StarCraft 2 that my mobile authenticator accepted past codes. For example if I typed in the authenticator code, waited until the next code came, then logged in, it allowed me to log in. Is this normal? If not, what should I do? Windows is geared more for business while the Mac OS is geared toward user friendliness. You will find most places using PCs and a few using Macs, but very rarely will you find a business using both because of compatibility issues. I would recommend you stick with the industry standard and go PC. (Que rage-fest of Apple fan-boys. They have a use, just not in the office... unless you're an artist or designer)

How to battle pain and deal with feeling a void?

Well I have unmet emotional needs from my father... I don't feel love from him... And I used to be christian and I obsessed over God, and it was like my way to cope with the pain... But now I am atheist, and now i'm feeling the void and pain.. I have a girlfriend, but I noticed that i'm so clingy and that I use her to fill my void, which I know isn't right.. I start getting anxiety when I haven't spent time with her.. I know the anxiety is from me being afraid of feeling alone and feeling the pain.. So I know that what I have to do is separate myself from her, and confront these feelings.. But I don't know how to deal with them.. Will the pain ever go away? Or will I just have to cope with it. What steps can I take to deal with it?? Also, I am afraid of love.. When I feel love from my mother, that warm feeling, I try to cut if off cuz it scares me... I got a few GameCube games from my friend who's had them and hasn't taken the "best" care of them. I have one in particular (Sonic Adventure Battle 2), that does this. I can put the game in, load up the console, click on the game channel, click start, and then the game will spin in the console for a few seconds and then stop. What puzzles me is that neither the "An Error Has Occurred" screen, nor the "The Game Disk Could Not Be Read" screen pop up. The screen remains black until you reset the system. I see where you're coming from, however some of these cards (like change of heart) are banned. If you were just beginning the game, then I would have to say this would suffice before getting better cards. If you want like Duelist Kingdom, you're going to need cards like Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Swords of Revealing Light etc. But if you want Battle City, then you have a lot more variety. Basically if you're keeping it old school, I would say these would work, but there are much better cards from the old series such as Dark Magician, or Gemini Elf, or Relinquished.

until you actually verify that it is leaking at the header start the car up when its cold up on a lift and you can feel the air hit your palm, giving you an idea where the leak is. watch it though the headers heat up quick. The good news is it does not damage the engine. The question is what kind of headers and how old are they? they tend to warp from excess heat. And a poor quality header with a too thin flange needs to be replaced. As for price, its relative to how many header bolts break off, and some do break off. Rust, heat , time all add up, and one bolt may already be broken, and could be the cause of the leak. A muffler shop does this for a living, and thats the best place to go for an estimate.

Look, if everything you're saying is true, you've got some major issues. I realize you would like for there to be some quick-fix answer but it sounds like you've got some big things to deal with. The short answer is "quit worrying, they'll likely be fine". The long answer is you may need therapy, medication, a drastic change in diet, religion etc...there are plenty of people whose parents have dangerous occupations and/or are depressed but they are not obsessesed in the way that you are, so you need to figure out why YOU feel this way in order to stop. It's also possible that your fear could have nothing to do with fear (i.e. if you were ever raped, molested, beaten etc. excess fear could be your subconcious way of hiding from what the real issue is). Lastly, although I'm not religious I do believe in God, and I believe that when you pray hard amazing things can happen. Pray for happiness or contentness or a solution to your bad situation etc and REALLY BELIEVE that help can come your way and you may be amazed at the results you get. Whatever you end up doing, I wish you well and I hope you get to a better place.

This deck doesn't seem to have any coordination. I'd focus more on either the Dragunity part of it or the E-HEROs. That's just me. Also, if Trap Reclamation does what I think it does, then I'd switch it out for a Mask of Darkness. Mausoleum would hurt your life points and you don't have anything that can bring those lost life points back. Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird is a pretty useful card in that situation. Monster Reincarnation should be switched out for Monster Reborn since the prior only brings the card to your hand and you need to discard a card.

Could there have been a drug in my sweet?

Hi, so yesterday I was bored in my French lesson so my friend Greg gave me and a few others, some of those fizzy love heart sweets with the little message in them. About half an hour later, in ICT lesson, I began to think my hands have just appeared on my wrists as if they weren't there before! earlier today, they told me I was saying weird stuff and sounded different and acting loopy. So I couldnt get home until school ended - I waited for an agonising 3 and a half hours, then I got on the bus and finally got home where I explained the whole ordeal to my mum and she helped me with getting into bed and getting food/water. I feel fine now (the day after) but I want to know what could have possibly been in the love heart sweet. i know u guys are familiar with this, because i've asked questions on this issue before and i think he's even been on here asking. i've been called a troll, but i assure you that i'm not. ok to recap. my daughter is 22. when she was a senior in high school she got pregnant by this boy. at the time, she was a very straight laced girl. the boy that she got pregnant by was a pot user. well, they ended up parting ways.we have helped her raise the baby. she's will be 4 soon. well, when she was 9 months about, the bio dad stopped coming around, but before he went MIA he petitioned the court for visitiation and he got it. he eventually stopped coming around, never was at home when she had to take him the baby, never paid any child support either. he owes the state about 20k.. it was a battle. he wasn't interested, but his parents were, but we never got any child support, no cards on birthdays, or christmas. we didn't care for him, because he used to be a pot smoker, but visitation was ordered by the court, so we had to let the child see him. well, my daughter ended up with another bad boy and she got strung out on heavy drugs. she's now in rehab and the cyfd placed the baby with my husband and i, because we have helped raise her and the child is stable with us. well, we had a family meeting with the cyfd. this family went in lying, saying we denied them visits. there were times when she was sick, but WE HAD to show doctor's notes. they just stopped coming around. turned out that cyfd let us keep her. we got a lawyer and petitioned the court for guardianship. he's sueing us for custody and suing my daughter for child support... this little girl doesn't know them and WE NEVER denied them visits. NEVER. i'm so worried about this. the cyfd told us that we should go back to the original, court ordered visitation, but this little girl has issues, when i leave her anywhere. she doesn't know these people and i just couldn't let them take her like that. i did tell them that i'd work with them with supervised visits and slowly get her aquainted with them, but they threw a big fit and said that they are her family and they want the original visitation 3 days a week for 2 hours a visit... now they're suing us for custody. i'm so worried about this. thank you. and i promise you. i'm not a troll. thanks.. <3

Just bought a 93 Honda Civic sedan last week (it's either an LX or DX model) where the headrest is above the seat with a plastic 'arm' connecting it to the back of the seat. I'm looking for some seat covers for it that hair doesn't stick to. I know the wetsuit material sticks the hair to it like glue. I have been plagued with an invisible biting bug in my bed for 6 months now. How do I get rid of no see ums?

Since January, I have been battling bug bites while in bed. They're small, red, itchy bumps and we can never see the bugs! My fiance gets bit too but not nearly as much as I do. We thought they were fleas at first and have done everything we know to get rid of fleas. Bombs,sprays, powders, vacuuming, got the dog and cat on frontline. Yet, every time we take the dog go the vet or groomer they see no fleas. The exterminator when he came out, saw no sign of fleas or bed bugs. No sign of anything! HELP!We are at our wits end and I fear sleeping in my own bed because they feed on me at night. The only thing that has really helped is sleeping with Avon Skin So Soft on, they don't seem to bite as much when I'm covered in Skin So Soft.

What's wrong with my car?

I have a 2003 Honda Accord LX ...just had the starter replaced and battery is bout 7-8 mos old...when the car is cold it starts up fine ...no problem...after i have driven it(like just going to the grocey store bout 3 miles) and the the engine gets warm.. the car will not start..it won't even turn over...but yet everything else functions in the car(lights, pwr door locks, radio, etc) ... i have taken it to the mechanic several times ...he has checked it and told me there is nothing wrong with the car??? He said he drove it around and parked it and shut it off and it starts right up again...but he only drives it around the block...But obviously there is something wrong??? I have a sidekick LX 2008, and I downloaded 2 videos, they were MP3 so I converted them into MP4 so they will work on the sidekick to watch a video and it worked. So the 3rd video I downloaded and I converted it to MP4, but whenever I press play on the sidekick it says "The encoding or format of this file is not supported by the device" I dont get it! what do I have to do in order to make it work? I actually abhor what NATO is doing to Libya, because in the end there will just be a pile of rubble where Libya once stood. Mordor Catapults in Battle for middle earth 2 question?

I play BFME with a bunch of friends and its really fun until this dude came along and started playing with Mordor. His Nazgruls would rape everyone's base before our armies even met. Playing with the elves, I easily killed his Nazgruls with Mirkwood archers. After a few turns of sweet victory, he started creating an army of catapults that raped my archers before they could finish him off. Eventhough I tried different tactics with a mix of cavalry and archers, nothing seemed to work. Any advice?

Unemployment Question?!?

So here is the story. I have an older sister who has been battling depression for a long time. I got a phone call to get the hospital back in Sept 2010 to get to the hospital ASAP that my sister hurt herself. I was out of the office on my lunch break. I immediately headed there. What was I suppose to do? I had an emergency. So while at the hospital I emailed my temp agency that I had a family emergency. The email failed to send because of a wrong email address so I forwarded the email to the company boss that the temp agency had me working for immediately that same day. So I thought all was well because they didn't call or email me back yelling. Well the next day I sent another email to DHL the company I was working for through the temp agency asking for a few days off because I was overwhelmed with what was going on & needed to be with family. That was 9/22 I sent the second email. Needless to say they called me back & fired me. So they told unemployment I had quit on 9/22 but I sent unemployment office both emails with the date, time, subject, & body of the email.What does everyone think? Will I have to keep fighting or will Unemployment see that I was fired unjustly & the company lied? I can't believe the company would lie like that to avoid paying me unemployment. I am just now filing too because I had no idea I could get unemployment for being fired. A friend actually told me to file! So that's why I am just now filing for it incase that makes a difference. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Should i get new speakers for my crown victoria?

i have a 1997 ford crown victoria lx, i installed a new kenwood stereo in it and it sounds great. Its volume goes up to 32 and i can put it up to 28 without it distorting. But I do have the sounded partially faded to the rear speakers. Should i get new speakers? So I've been playing for a while on arcade and I feel like I'm pretty good. I've tried it on very hard and I got up to like the 4th battle. I recenty got Xbox Live and now that I'm playing against real people I suck so bad. :P I've done like 100 Xbox Live battles and I've literally only won 15 times. :( I was a 9th ranger then went down to fight then 9th ranger again and now I'm once again a fighter. Pokemon Platinum: Is My Torterra moveset good?

It has Crunch, Earthquake, Grass Knot, and Giga Drain. My Torterra is Lv 51. If you don't think a move is good for my Pokemon, then list some other moves I could teach it and why they are better than the move you don't like. Im a little scared that Earthquake might faint an Ally pokemon during a double battle. That is my only concern about it. I used to have Razor Leaf, but it sometimes was a little weak so I swirched it for Earthquake.
